I love puzzles, they are usually relaxing - except the ones my sisters gave me as a kid - one was all marbles and another all sequins - I got the hint, took a break for a while and stopped 'showing off' how quickly I could finish them. I like to find where things fit together.
I've always had a hard time answering the question "what's your favorite season?" I really don't have a favorite, I like them all and try to appreciate (and not complain about) the differences they bring each day - even the uncomfortable days, because a new season is never too far off. I'm also a long-time tree-hugger (despise single use plastics - reduce-reuse-recycle! - not that hard to do)
Laurel’s OBJECT STORY
My mother passed away when I was very young. I don't remember exactly at what age my dad gifted me her sewing basket, probably early teen years when you learn to sew in school. I thought it was special that he held onto it so long and chose to give it to me. While the colors on it have faded over the years and the handle is a little shaky, and at times too small to hold all of my stash, this is my one and only sewing basket. I never wanted another one because this was a connection that only I had with her.
