As an artist, my paintings focus on what I call Secondhand Nostalgia-- a longing for a time or memory that may not have been yours to begin with-- emphasizing family moments that happened decades ago. I find that even the most specific family memories can feel universal to so many people, and working with Seriatim clients only strengthens that idea for me.

Samantha’s Collection STORY

I collect pretty much everything-- records, vintage clothes, pinback buttons, mass market paperbacks, toy VW buses, silk scarves, souvenir thimbles, Monkees memorabilia, Peanuts comics and collectibles, 60s teen magazines... the list goes on and on and on, but the common denominator is that most of my collections are true vintage, or modern items pertaining to 60s/70s fashion, music, and pop culture. My bedroom has become somewhat of a museum of all of the things that I love. Some of my favorite items include a Peter Max silk scarf, an original Monkees puzzle (only missing five pieces), a disco Snoopy figurine, a Gunne Sax dress, and an issue of Tiger Beat from 1967, signed by Micky Dolenz.
